Looking for the perfect music to listen to while baking cookies or committing a murder? Then you should seek music by up-and-coming artist Lindsay Boreing. Don’t let the name fool you. With the voice of a siren, a flare for the dramatic, a high energy show, and a love for all things spooky… Boreing is anything but boring.
Lindsay Boreing was born and raised in Lubbock Texas (known as a breeding ground for music and for giving birth to music legends Buddy Holly, Mac Davis, and Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks). She grew up singing around Texas with her two sisters starting at the age of 13. On the road singing pop, rock, and country, she developed her unique sound and love for performing. With influences ranging from Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Ann Wilson (Heart), to The Dresden Dolls, Fiona Apple, and Etta James, her sound is eclectic and well-rounded. The Aussie rock under-current that exists within her music comes from her father (an import from Melbourne, Australia). “When I was little, my dad would drive around listening to Billy Thorpe, Zeppelin, and AC/DC with me, and would have me tapping the beats to the music on his console. I’ve heard him say that he bonded with my two sisters and myself through music since he didn’t know what to talk about with three little girls!” Lindsay was quoted saying.
Lindsay is an artist, not only through music, but paint and makeup as well. She takes this love of transformation, music, and horror movies with her to the stage. With an emphasis on live shows and connecting with her audience, she balances her visual show with her music and takes you on a journey. Lindsay Boreing’s long awaited debut album “A Cautionary Tale”, will be released Friday, October 19th. If you get the chance to see her perform, don’t miss it. It’s a journey you want to take.
